Dentures

Dentures are substitutes for missing teeth. There are two key types of dentures: complete and partial. The appropriate procedure is recommended, according to the number of missing teeth.

While dentures take some time to get used to it, they are natural looking. Nowadays even implant supported dentures are also possible. They have better fit and strength.

Complete dentures

Complete dentures can be either “conventional” or “immediate.” Made after the teeth have been detached and the gum tissue has started to heal, a conventional denture is prepared for placement in the mouth around 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been removed.

Not at all like conventional dentures, immediate dentures are made in advance and can be placed as soon as the teeth are removed. Therefore, the wearer does not need to be without teeth amid the healing period.
